I remember being in the Nativity; I was a shepherd. I desperately wanted to be an angel but I remember our evil class teacher Miss Rota telling me that boys would look stupid as angels. I wonder what happened to her; ooh, she was a bitter woman! Do you remember when she made us stand on our chairs because we glued our hands together because we were best friends? She must be about 100 now, if she’s still alive; goodness, how many kids she traumatised over the years! Mum caught up with Mrs. Ashley the other day; now, she was a great teacher. I loved taking H.E with her. Do you remember that time she taught us how to make a loaf of bread? You added far too much yeast to yours and it ended up being the size of a small elephant! I’ve not baked bread in ages! Think I might give it a go this weekend as part of my New Year resolutions; to bake more.
